Letter to ASNA, August 1, 2022

Updated: Sep 19, 2022

Greetings and welcome nurses,

Whether you are new to the team or you are returning, welcome to the 2022-23 school year from the ASNA! It is my prayer that this will be an amazing year for each of you. ASNA is dedicated to the promotion of health and educational success of children by supporting the practice and recognition of professional school nurses. We are committed to support, encourage, and respect our differences. We as an organization are compassionate about our profession and giving back to the Arlington community. We will continue to commit to community service projects and provide nursing scholarships to UTA nursing students. Feel free to join our Facebook page and review our website for other pertinent information.

The mission of the Arlington School Nurses' Association is to support the school nurses' primary health care role and be an advocate for the well-being, academic success, and life-long achievements of persons under their care, as well as stewardship of the nursing profession. The vision of the Arlington School Nurses' Association is to promote a positive professional image of school nursing through support of evidenced-based nursing practice, continued professional education, and leadership development.

The annual membership dues for ASNA are $5.00. However, we would love if you found it in your hearts to donate an additional $5.00 annually (making that a $10.00 total) to help fund our scholarship initiative. We meet on the 4th Tuesday @4:30 p.m. in September, January, and April. Yes, ONLY four scheduled meetings a year. The meeting location TBA. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. We will send out more details closer to the meeting times. It is my goal as president to have at least two community service events for the year. One in the fall and one in the spring semester.

Our new leadership team is eager to serve our association, please JOIN US!!
